New packages and pricing have been introduced

Magically written byChrissie on August 14, 2008 – 12:03 am -

In July, I quietly changed my packages, and tested them out on unsuspecting guinea pigs (hi, there, guinea pigs!).  I used to have packages that had clients receive a pre-determined amount of certain sized prints for a certain price.  I didn’t like that!  I made those because…well, because photographers have packages, don’t they?  ;-)   They weren’t working, for you or for me, so they had to go.

Decisions are hard, and it is even more hard to make what you want mesh with what a standard package tells you what sizes you can and cannot have.  So, I simplified it!  Now you tell me what you want, and I just do the math and give you things!

My new packages are SO much better, I think, for clients.  There are 3 packages, and each one comes with a certain sized wall print, mounted and framed, and a certain amount of print credit - PLUS, buying a package gets you VIP pricing, so you get 20%-40% off regular prices just by committing to a package.  The first client I tried it out on, after they’d made their selections, I added it all up as regular prices, saw that they spent enough to get a collection, and when I re-did the numbers using the VIP pricing, they got to add more things to their order without paying any more….it’s like getting free portraits!

Here they are….The Collections!  For a full price list, just get in touch with me, and I’ll be glad to send you my prices!  For a reference point, regular price for an 8×10 is $26, but if you purchase a collection, you get VIP pricing which is $15 for that 8×10!

Basic         $295
11×14 Wall Portrait, mounted and framed
$235 print credit and use of VIP Pricing

Classic       $495
16×20 Wall Portrait, mounted and framed
$410 print credit and use of VIP Pricing

Elite            $695
20×24 Wall portrait, mounted and framed
$590 print credit and use of VIP Pricing

Like I said, I’ve had great response from my guinea pigs, and I’m so happy my clients are happy!

I can’t end a post without a picture ~ an oldie but a goodie.  Just snapshots, but ones that make me smile!  This is my youngest daughter in the Fall of 2006.

Baby “A” - here she is!

Magically written byChrissie on August 5, 2008 – 11:59 am -

Oooohhhh I’ve been so excited to post these pictures of Baby “A”!  I had to wait until her parents saw the pictures first, but it sure was a hard wait!

“A” is such a gem.  She was a little fussy at first, but feeding her for the 3rd time was a charm. :-)   Big Sister “J” is such a great sister, and very protective; at the ordering session, I asked her if I could keep her baby sister for just a little while, and she gave me a bit of a look and said “No.”  Good girl - keep us strangers away from your baby!

Grandkids

Magically written byChrissie on August 2, 2008 – 1:32 am -

Hello McN family!  Here’s your sneak preview from last Saturday’s shoot!   The grandmother of these gorgeous kids wanted this session, and got them all these gorgeous white outfits.

I swear….5 of the greatest kids!  Each one is so memorable, and I’m having a blast going through the images, because it makes me remember the adolescent quietness of “P”, “J” and his handsome grin, the younger “J” and his huge personality, “B” and his serious and seriously cute expression, and little “E” and her Pebbles-esque hairdo and sweet face!

This next one, you’re going to have to click on to see it bigger ~ it’s called a Storyboard, and it is meant to be printed in size 10″x20″ or bigger (at the same ratio), and either mounted and propped up with a stand, or framed and hung.

“D” Undercover

Magically written byChrissie on July 10, 2008 – 12:44 am -

Here we go, the Undercover sessions have begun!  “D” has asked that I only show images that you can’t recognize her in, so just a few pictures today to show you the tone of the session!

“D” wanted this session to get some special pictures for her soon-to-be husband.  What a great gift for the groom, huh??

I also have 2 more Undercover session next month, and am always happy to take bookings for more!

John & Dawn: Engagement

Magically written byChrissie on June 29, 2008 – 10:23 pm -

Join me in saying congratulations to John and Dawn on their engagement!  Both are tennis enthusiasts, and that’s the key to the “how they got engaged” story:  They went to play tennis, and instead of the top ball in the can of tennis balls, John had swapped it out for the ring box, surprising Dawn upon opening!  She, of course, said yes!

That’s good news for me, because if she’d said no, I’d not have had this great couple for an engagement session!  We had a great few hours out in the (hot) sun one evening, filled with hugs and kisses (them), and sweat and extra memory cards (me)! ;-)

I’m far from having all of the pictures processed, but I couldn’t resist posting a few for everyone to see!

Whew!

Magically written byChrissie on June 26, 2008 – 1:09 am -

Have you ever noticed that after you go on vacation, things seem to snowball and you need a vacation to recover from THAT vacation?

My family and I went to Mebane, North Carolina to visit family….and we went by minivan!  Have you ever driven 7.5 hours in a minivan with a 4 year old and a 2 year old?  No?  Good.  I won’t tell you how it went, because if I did you’d never get in a minivan again! ;-)  Ok, it wasn’t really THAT bad.  I will say, though, that if you attempt the trip without a DVD player, you will quickly learn your mistake.  I’m soooo glad we have one!

We were on vacation for one week, and we’ve been home for over a week and I think I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  The unpacking was easy - the hard part was getting the kids back on a sleep schedule that puts them in bed before midnight!   But, we’re getting there.  It doesn’t help that the sun doesn’t set before 8pm, so neither do my girls.

I have lots to post on the blog, but it is nearly 1am here so you’ll have to wait for another day!

For now….a couple pictures of my beautiful girls :-)
